[Polymer_group_aust] REMINDER: 15th Australasian Polymer Summer School - Registrations Open

Dear All,



The 15th Australasian Polymer Summer School will be held at University of Western Sydney Village, Parramatta North Campus, New South Wales from 4-6 February 2014.



These meetings are coordinated and subsidized by the RACI Polymer Division and the CRC for Polymers.  The meetings are designed to introduce a range of new and divergent areas of polymers to an audience of undergraduates, research students and research fellows/industrial researchers/educators because we know that they will have had a variety of chemistry, physics, engineering or biological backgrounds and some may have not attended formal polymer courses.  The Australasian Polymer Summer Schools aim to address these challenges.

*  Dr Chris Fellows, University of New England, 'An introduction to polymers'.

*  Dr Graeme Moad, CSIRO, 'Polymer synthesis by RAFT polymerization'.

*  Dr Patrice Castignolles, University of Western Sydney, 'Characterization of polymers by size exclusion chromatography'.

*  Dr Marion Gaborieau, University of Western Sydney, 'NMR characterization of polymers'.

* Prof Emily Hilder, University of Tasmania, 'Synthesis, characterisation and selected applications of porous polymers'.

*   Dr Elliot Gilbert, ANSTO, 'Small angle scattering and its applications in polymer science'.
